In 1992 my life was in turmoil, I was in an abusive marriage and my health was causing me great concern.
I had been suffering from severe back pain for several years and had become dependent on painkillers, I needed help and it appeared from an unexpected source. I was introduced to Qigong (an ancient Chinese self-care system) I had never heard of Qigong but I was at the end of my tether so decided to give it a try.
I was a little sceptical when I first began attending classes but soon began to reap the benefits. My back pain slowly diminished and my self-confidence returned giving me the courage to walk away from my abusive marriage.
Free from the abuse and back pain, I was determined to learn more about Qigong and became a dedicated student. I felt so proud the day I was awarded my Black Sash and given the opportunity to become a Qigong teacher.
I wanted to share this incredible self-care system with others, and for the past twenty-six years, I have taught in schools, colleges, care homes for the elderly, leisure centres, private clinics, adult day care centres, charities and children’s after-school clubs.
I currently run:
- Classes and Workshops in the community
- One to one training
- Weekend Retreats
If you are looking for an alternative therapy to enhance your health and wellbeing why not give the Me & Qigong programme a try it worked for me, it could work for you too.
